And there it is, the password for Chapter 13. You guys are awesome for getting so close :D
Very brief break down(I’m short on time):
Diadora: Pretty obvious since most people grabbed onto it right away and me also confirming it. Not a lot to say here.
Ax: This one is a little tricky. No I did not mean axe, I was going for a combination of ‘and’ and ‘x.’ Both of which are common abbreviations for ‘and.’ Beside, ‘Ax’ sound the same as ‘x’ thus the DxD. ;)
DRAGON: I left tons of clues toward this one, some of you got very sneaky and even went on the animesuki forum to find it, that’s nice. It’s ‘DRAGON’ and not ‘Dragon’ because I wanted to put emphasis on it, something I’ve mentioned. Using symbols would be a hassle.
Why is it what it is? Because I’m shipping Diadora and Dran, Dragon. This is the arc where Diadora shine so I wanted to take the opportunity to start the ship war! Clue 1, 2 and 3 all hinted some content in chapter 14.
Please go ahead and post questions on what do you want me to go into details in the comment section and I will get to it once I have the time.
Anyhow, rejoice! The dark day is over~ somewhat. I hope that this did not discourage any of the fan to stop reading any of my projects.

Adding insult to injury, I asked if the password is grammatically correct yesterday. Binh said it’s pretty accurate, Lo and behold the answer. Yes I mad, seriously tho the fuck is Ax, I am okay with x but Ax? I haven’t encountered Ax for any type of OTP pairing fan shipping wars on forums.

DiadoraAxDRAGON Does not unlock the chapter for me, this wasn’t a good prank and I’m done with this, it comes out slow enough for me to forget about it anyway! Wuxia world had a great prank, a fake chapter to make us laugh or the sites that had to shut down forever for pet related problems. So Screw you for making us wait and then still making the chapter impossible to view!

Ok I found the problem I still can’t veiw it on my phone but I can on my laptop. Although I can see it now I’m past the point of wanting to read any more of this story, I’ve gotten too upset over it and even after all the crap we had to go through because of this prank I got 65 seconds out of this part of a chapter. This novel comes out to slowly for me to enjoy and isn’t good enough in my opinion to remember or re-read. So I’m done and screw you Binhjmin.

How is this easy to guess? People were spamming Dragon instead of DRAGON. I knew the Capitalization would fuck us over. And I don’t even understand how the word Ax came about even with the explanation. Oh well, I highly doubt people would slap themselves seeing how specific it needed to be

Godammit. I went through all the combinations with ‘a’ both capital and lower case… I just didn’t put dragon in all caps and gave up from frustration. Grrrr.

I would have never gotten that capitals (especially the Ax) right nor the abbreviation. Frankly, I am not face palming myself because that was frankly very far from the three original hints. The DxD was really helpful, but I feel you could have made it either a lot tougher or a lot easier. The Ax is just kinda obscure, so I give this riddle a 5/10 or Meh. This is my favorite riddle of all time.
100 dwarves are captured by an evil queen who hates dwarves. Being an evil queen, she has concocted a fiendish, fiendishly complex game by which he hopes to kill as many of them as possible:

Assume the queen is a queen of his word and will set free any dwarf that guesses the colour of his hat correctly. Assume also that the dwarves are smart and have good memories. What strategy should they use so that as many of them survive as possible, and how many will survive?

Eh, that riddle seems pretty simple, the order would be start at the back and go forward.
Then since the queen only forbid them from trying to see their own hat or speaking something besides red or blue they just have to use nonverbal communication. For example tap the right shoulder of the dwarf in front of them for red and left for blue.
That way it’s 50/50 that either 99 or 100 dwarves survive depending on if the first dwarf guesses correctly.
Also the queen seems to having a gender identity crisis, or they’re just a drag queen.

Assuming we had fair numbers of the hats (50 red and 50 blue) then we could have the dwarves in a position like this red, blue, red, blue and so on. In this tactic you could just look at the dwarf in front of you to tell what hat you’re wearing, if the dwarf in front of you is wearing red then just say you’re wearing blue, if nothing goes wrong then we would have 99 dwarves alive. Why 99? because the dwarf in the farthest front would have no dwarf in front of him/her to know what hat he/she is wearing.
If we don’t have an even number of hats (30 red and 70 blue) then we could have the dwarves then we could have all the one wearing red in the back and all the one wearing blue would be in front, (red, red, red, red…. blue, blue, blue) This tactic is presumably the opposite of the first tactic, because in the first tactic if the dwarf in front of you have a red hat then you have a blue one, but in this tactic if the dwarf in front of you have a red hat then you would also have a red one, if nothing goes wrong then we would have 99 dwarves alive. why 99? because the dwarf at the meeting point of blue and red would be unable to guess what hat he/she is wearing.

Okay, acceptable, except for the queen blindfolds them and then randomly puts on the hat (their are a hundred hats, but not fifty blue or fifty red, any combination of the two) , thus making it random and the dwarfs must stay in place

To clarify, the dwarfs cannot move (thus eliminating code through body language, makes the riddle two simple), they can only say one word (whispering can’t get you out of it), and they are randomly ordered and have a random number of red or blue hats that add up to 100. The correct answer is 99, but with this addendum the previously posted strategies shouldn’t work. Find the best strategy that saves in all situations. Or don’t, its your choice.

You do know that if you keep changing the settings for this it is no longer a riddle, and honestly this whole thing was not a riddle to begin with.

btw between me and 2 others we had Diadora and Dragon and we tried all 2 letter combinations. We had DiadoraxxDragon, and we did hit ax, but we didn’t have it capitalized, we also didn’t have the whole word Dragon capitalized so the way we ha dit was DiadoraaxDragon.

Have actually considered on my first try DiadoraxDRAGON, but then again it was 15 characters, maybe DORAGON? I dunno.

Ax is not an action that one would do to instignate a war,holy shit I am so butthurt my hands are moving on their own. Instead of putting these nonexistent clues you should’ve said from the start to search whatever it is on your WP about the password. It isn’t a hunt at all, more like you have to turn off your brain add magic and put A beside x. Those 2 guys that answered must have some kind of talent on learning that you were using abbreviation and combined A which meant “and” for you and x which is for pairing 2 characters and magically make your own word.
I think you should have another person to talk with when you make another of this so called “password hunting” cause you clearly couldn’t convey what you meant on giving clues or even explaining some hints. Even the “technically 3 words” were nonsense, I mean, was Ax even an actual word?
And so I am leaving to a hospital to cure this ass of mine.
PS. I am serious about getting someone else to talk with when you make an event, you are bad at conveying what you truly meant much less grammatical errors here and there. I am not that perfect with english grammar either but yours is just…unique.

Not going to lie, your hints were… Well, I still don’t see how the hell they connect to that password. I really don’t.
Your logic is making an assumption that a statement of shipment would incite people to war, and that’s a very, very far leap for any but the most die hard fans, and I agree with much of the other sentiment that ‘Ax’ wasn’t really fair. While it IS a word, the password would have been dramatically more fair with only 14 letters and statement of ‘2 words’.
Regardless, good luck on the rest of your translations and do please not.. ****ing reference ship wars or something as a clue in the future (Or at least, make it less ‘where the f did that come from’ logic).. Two of the three clues were a reference that your statement was meant to be a statement of shipping two characters, and simply saying, “Shippers ahoy.” Or some variant saying simply that the password is related to shipping would have been better.

This was actually not as god awfully bad as I originally suspected. I was expecting a ridiculous password to begin with and then either the chapter to be empty or half done with filler yo-boy text like tensaiz has been spewing today. I’m not even sure what to feel for the people that actually tried to guess this whole time. Something like a mixture of pity and that’s what you get. The Ax part I just dont understand, I mean why a combination of “and” and “x”. First of and is not an abbreviations for and, it is the actual word and and thus cant be an abbreviations. Secondly I dont know what english speaking country or who that speaks english uses “x” as a common abbreviation for and, the common abbreviation is actually written ‘n’. Normally x is used for extra or mutliplied by if you actually google and check or for that matter check a book you will as far as I know never ever see x used as and. I mean in DxD the anime and such it is used as Devil versus Devil or Demon versus Demon. Often something x something is usually used instead of vs or again multiplication. It is actually quite often used in sport of fighting to write Name x Name to imply Name versus Name. Right now my brain is just trying to find some logic in this whole part but seeing as the whole thing was a troll/riddle/joke/fool/whatever I dont know if I should even bother.

Don’t mind the criticism, they just have bad sportsmanship (or girl for some cases), the duration of the event (if you can even call it one) was not too short nor too long, was all good although the password and/or clues could’ve been possibly done better, still I am (and many others also some that don’t show it but still cares inside “tsun”) still appreciates the effort of you guys translation/edting etc and hopefully will keep going on for many years to come. ^^

Perhaps, if you ever decide to do something like that again, you could have regular riddles released. These riddles could have little bearing on the translation but it could help you get a grasp of what we leechers know and understand, and it could help you to form better riddles and hints. For my group, our problem was capitalization, using our method we did pass through the correct password, but we didn’t have the correct capitalization. Since very few if any managed to realize the answer, doing things like this could help you and us, perhaps you could even make it so that like 1 in 4 chapters will be released that way with everyone knowing in advance, you could even release the riddles in advance so those who DO solve it can get right onto it and it would be potentially available right from release, and the delay in full release could be just a few hours instead of a full day, I personally wouldn’t mind this method and I think it’d add more fun to the site.

Lets dissect this riddle now shall we? Based on my findings, even after the password is revealed, I can comfortably say that the password cannot be determined with the original 3 clues nor with the original addendum either. One can easily guess parts of the password , and even ‘solve’ the riddle/puzzle using the original clues and some assumptions. Assumptions being: the clues are related to the story because it is the password for this novel.
The first clue’s word choice is extremely similar to one specific scene in chapter 10 when Dran meets up with Diadora and heals her. The first clue alone is enough to determine that the password has to do with something regarding Diadora and Dran. The first clue is the most significant.
Now the second clue is extremely vague. It can imply anything in the story. However, if you try to relate it back to the first clue, you can perhaps determine it is used to solidify the image of perhaps Dran planting a ‘seed’ of interest in Diadora. That interest being Dran. Interest turns into, perhaps love. To be honest clue 2 is way too vague and completely useless.
Clue 3 is clearly implies a relationship. NTR being the Japanese term for a protagonist’s significant other being taken away by a third party and the protagonist is forced to watch the new relationship unfold (in the most common form, SO taken and raped by a third party in front of protagonist). With the theme set by NTR, war can refer to love polygon. The Dran harem fighting each other for Dran’s attention.
So with clue 1 and clue 3 you can determine the password contains something relating to Dran, Diadora, and perhaps love.
With the addendum, the specifics of the password are clarified: 15 characters, 3 words, and capitalization is key. First thing to come to mind: names. ‘Diadora’ and ‘Dran’ are nearly confirmed at this point. Capitalization being key solidifies this fact. Names are capitalized in conventional, proper English. Now there is just the final word that is a mystery.
With some logic, one could try to relate 3 clues to 3 words. Perhaps clue 1 is word 1, clue 2 word 2, and clue 3 word 3. You can determine the order of the words from the clues. Clue 1 refers to Diadora. Clue 3 refers to Dran. Clue 3 has the double meaning if taken literally and as context from the story. There was a major war that is mentioned in the later chapters. The war involved Dran, but not any of the other main characters. That leaves the middle word.
People did in fact solve the riddle and the password using the original clues. The password is Diadora(relationship indication word)Dran.
Now why did no one actually gained access to the chapter then? Well. The password was too specific. Specific in word manipulation and capitalization that no one could have figured out using the original 4 (5 if you include DxD) clues.
In the end, those who stuck with it since the beginning and got as far as I have in reasoning out the clues towards the password should not be facepalming or grieving over not figuring it out. You guys did figure it out. The password is as exactly as we thought it to be. The password itself was just too specific in detail though for any normal means to come up with. Even if one were to miraculously come up with Diadora[blank]DRAGON using ONLY the original 5 clues, there are still 3844 combinations of alphanumerical characters (including capitalization) combinations in the last 2 characters one would need to try for the password to work.
To the 2-3 people who came up with the actual password using the original 5 clues I applaud you for thinking outside the box, perhaps there is something missing and that missing piece is what may end up making the rest of us facepalm. However, at the moment no one would have come up with AxDRAGON as the last 8 characters ever under any circumstance using the original 5 clues. Even Binh’s explanation left A LOT to be desired in determining the center word. Maybe more details will be released in the future.
